The Valley of the Rance River, Saint-Cast-le-Guildo – Dinan – Taden – Saint-Samson –  Plouër-sur-Rance – Le Minihic-sur-Rance – Saint-Suliac – Saint-Cast-le-Guildo

While vast stretches can be discovered at low tide, this spot resembles an inlet at high tide. They say that this coastal river is a “tidal river” where landscapes change according to the water’s level.

Dinan: A return to medieval time

Surrounded by almost three kilometres of ramparts, the town of Dinan and its 14th century castle proudly overlook the Rance. Below, the small sailing port is the departure point for beautiful rides along the estuary whilst above, the corbelled houses complete a visit to this medieval town.

The Rance Valley: between Land and Sea

 The almost 100 kilometre long river “leads from the ocean to Dinan”. To accompany you on your journey, a charming blend of towpaths, tidal mills, boatyards, little picturesque market towns, country estates will fill your eyes.
